“A year between the two pictures and a 20 pound difference. The most confident I’ve ever been! Club fitness has helped keep my motivation to be in the gym 6-7 days a week to keep me going with my goals!”
“The first picture is January 2nd, 2020. I was 239.2 pounds. I was bench pressing 365×5, deadlifting 500, and did very little (if any) cardio. Overall I was unhappy with myself and my condition. I also hated running. My diet wasn’t bad but I was drinking alcohol.
I began by adding rowing and stairs to start my workout, starting with 10 minutes and building up to 20-30 minutes. And then I quit drinking. I lost about 10 pounds and then the gyms closed due to COVID.
I began my home workouts, which consisted of insanity home workouts and running the Dunlawton bridge a few times. I was so out of cardiovascular shape.
April 13th began my 5k a day challenge. The first two weeks it sucked running every single day. By the middle of week 3 it wasn’t so terrible and I even added longer distance runs.
On May 9th I ran my first half marathon in 2 hours and 28 minutes. I have since completed 3 half marathons, one per month.
Since April 13th I have only missed 2 days of completing at least a 5k a day and it is part of my daily routine now, combined with resistance training.
Current weight is 208.2 pounds and I can still bench 315×5.
It’s crazy how much you can achieve once you look into the mirror and make the decision to turn your life around. I’m feeling great and in the best shape of my life at 30 years old. And only going to continue to improve and challenge myself.”
