Shelby Thurlow is a dynamic personal trainer based at the Arnold location, specializing in strength training, functional fitness, and sports conditioning. Shelby holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education, Health, and Athletic Coaching, bringing a robust educational background to her training approach.
Motivated by her own passion for fitness and a desire to ignite that same enthusiasm in others, Shelby describes herself as a “washed-up college athlete” who has maintained a strong presence in the weight room out of love for the sport. Her fitness journey is characterized by a continued commitment to staying active and pushing her limits.
Shelby connects with her clients through shared interests in fitness, hobbies, and mutual goals, creating a relatable and motivating environment. Her favorite mantra, “Last Set, Best Set!” encapsulates her philosophy of giving your all until the very end of each session, emphasizing effort and perseverance.
Outside the gym, Shelby enjoys weightlifting, reading fantasy novels, playing video games, sketching, engaging in plyometrics, and participating in outdoor activities like hunting and fishing. She also delights in playing Dungeons and Dragons. Shelby looks forward to meeting new clients and helping them achieve their fitness goals with a personalized and enthusiastic approach.
